For the task at hand FAC was to only company in the ballpark in what we considered a fair price for the size of the project. Don't get me wrong, our job was substantial in size. Two other quotes seemed like they did not want our business. My brother has been a contractor for 40 years (in a different region of the country) and I have assisted with some of his work in the past. I have a decent idea what these things should cost and how much time it takes.
My wife and I moved out to a rental during our project which was supposed to be 2 months, but went a little over. Part of the extension was due to changes in the original scope and some was wanting to make everything meet my expectations. There was also a delay with needing a termite fumigation that was discovered just before the start of the project. Discovered evidence while removing everything from the house.
As for the product you are hiring a contractor for, Frank and his team have attention to detail and handled my needs in this regard as I am bit of a perfectionist and strive for that outcome in every thing I do. No problem with a couple of rework requests if things weren't to my expectations, most important thing to Frank and the team is the customer is happy. To be forthright, this happened several times and no issues or pushback in making it right.
Getting into the details of FAC Construction. Frank responds to messages promptly morning / afternoon / evening / weekends (a little slower sometimes) with thoughtful answers. The team had good suggestions and advice when needed in the project when we weren't quite sure on which way to go based on their past experiences many of them were good suggestions.
Frank subcontracts some of the work to folks that specialize in that field. From what I saw he has a great list of people he works with that did amazing work in their fields. Don't get me wrong, Frank's team is comprehensive, but nothing wrong in bringing in someone who does only that when that sort of experience is beneficial. In our case hardwood floor recovery and countertops turned out awesome!
In the past I have heard from others about projects that turned into horror stories where a contractor gets spread to thin and work is not being done on "my" project. The project goes way overdue and there is unhappiness. None of that here, the team always seemed to be progressing through the project and in a sensible and timely fashion.
I typically don't take time to share my thoughts about companies and services, but felt these guys deserved some of my time because of their efforts. Also, my wife and I are extremely happy with the outcome! We have waited a long time to "pull the trigger" on this project and are very happy with our choice of who we gave our business too.
This is an awesome contractor in my experience and we have tried a few. I will definitely use FAC for any future needs, likely without competitive quotes as the others we tried were absurd.

Frank was responsive, timely, and very easy to work with. He communicated clearly with both me and the tenant, showed up when he said he would, and got the job done efficiently without any issues. I really appreciated that I didn’t have to micromanage anything, he just took care of it.
Even for a straightforward repair, his professionalism and attention to detail stood out. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Frank again for future projects or recommend him to others looking for reliable, high-quality work.
